As citizens of a global community, our students face myriad of important and exciting challenges. We must outfit them with basic tools they need to be competitive in the job market and to think critically about complex local, national, and world issues. Anything less is a disservice to our children and our community.
Public education funding is inadequate, and due to statewide budget reductions, our schools and teachers are losing resources needed in classrooms. Friends of Renton Schools will help provide the funding for research-based classroom instruction for our teachers and help keep our students competitive."
