"Renton has a long and proud tradition of placing a high value on education. Every child and every teacher in the Renton School District benefits from, and greatly appreciates the support of our communities.
The newly established Friends of Renton Schools fund now allows community members, businesses leaders and others a chance to directly contribute to research-based mathematics/science and reading/writing programs that are producing incredible results for Renton students, but because they are paid for by grants, they lose the funding needed to keep them in classrooms.
Funds raised will be targeted to support classrooms to help our dedicated, talented and skilled teachers to provide students with the skills and supplies they need to succeed."
